Terms of Service

By installing the SentinelAI GitHub App, creating an account, or accessing the SentinelAI dashboard ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

SentinelAI provides automated compliance scanning of GitHub pull requests using artificial intelligence. The Service analyses code changes against compliance frameworks (including SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and EU AI Act controls), posts findings as GitHub review comments, and provides a dashboard showing audit readiness and a compliance ledger.

The Service is provided for informational and workflow automation purposes only. SentinelAI findings do not constitute legal, regulatory, or professional compliance advice. You are solely responsible for your organization's compliance posture.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you become aware of unauthorized access.

Access to the Service is granted at the organization level via GitHub App installation. Each GitHub App installation corresponds to one SentinelAI organization.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including sending excessive automated requests.
• Use the Service to process data that you do not have the right to disclose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.

The Service, including its software, algorithms, user interface, and documentation, is owned by SentinelAI and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service.

You retain all rights to your source code and the compliance data generated from your repositories. You grant SentinelAI a limited, non-exclusive license to process your code and repository data solely to provide the Service.

Our collection and use of your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

The Service relies on third-party providers including Anthropic (Claude API), GitHub, Supabase, Temporal Cloud, WorkOS, and Render.com. Your use of the Service is subject to the applicable terms of these providers. We are not responsible for any changes to or failures of third-party services.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that compliance findings will be accurate, complete, or up to date. AI-generated findings may contain errors and should be reviewed by qualified personnel before acting on them.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SENTINELAI AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SentinelAI and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify account administrators of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. You may terminate by uninstalling the GitHub App and deleting your account. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Sections 5, 8, 9, 10, and 13 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SentinelAI operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction.
